THIS UNIT IS AN ALL TERRAIN VEHICLE THAT HAS 6 WHEEL DRIVE CAPABILITY. IT HAS ALL INDEPENDANT SUSPENSION AND IS POWERED BY A 760 CC GASOLINE ENGINE. THIS UNIT IS EQUIPED WITH A 4,500 LBS FRONT MOUNTED WINCH, TRAILER HITCH WITH 2,000 LBS TOWING CAPACITY. IT HAS A LED LIGHT BAR, REMOTE CONTROLLED SPOT LIGHT AND SIREN. IT HAS A SKID UNIT THAT OFFERS STOKES BASKET PATIENT TRANSPORT. iT ALSO HAS A 95 GALLON WATER TANK AND A 5 GALLON FOAM CELL THAT SUPPLIES A 120 GPM DARLEY PUMP. IT HAS A 100 FOOT BOOSTER LINE ON A HOSE REAL WITH TWO OTHER DISCHARGES. THIS UNIT CARRIES MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AS WELL AS FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT.

Station 21 is also home to Rescue 219. Rescue 219 is a Medium-Heavy Rescue unit. Rescue 219 has seen many accident scenes and has been involved in multiple pin-ins and entrapments. Rescue 219 not only services as a Rescue unit but also as another support unit for Station 21. Rescue 219 provides assistance with structure fires, RIT Team, swift water rescue, water rescue, high angle rescue, medical and extrication. Rescue 219 also has a built in scene light that provides enough light for almost any scene.
6 Air packs, 1 RIT Pack, Swift water and water rescue helmets and PFD's, Fully stocked medical bag, 2 sets of Halmatro tools (located on both sides of the unit), Fire tools, Air bags, Cribbing, two winches, one generator with extra scene lights, power tools, K-12, Multiple sizes of jacks, ladders, and stokes/backboard, along with multiple lengths and sizes of rope, and harnesses.

Tanker 213 is a 3,000 gallon tanker supplied by a 1500 gpm pump. Tanker 213 was one of the first 3,000 gallon Tankers to be put into service in Gaston County. Tanker 213 is now one of nine 3,000 gallon Tankers in service for the County. Tanker 213 provides mutual aid for many of the surrounding Fire Departments and is dispatched as a unit for the Tanker Task Force. Along with performing the duties of a tanker, 213 carries equipment that is also carried on our Engines as well.

THIS APPARATUS FEARURES A 6 MAN CAB WITH A 1500 GALLON PER MINUTE PUMP. IT IS EQUIPPED WITH 2-1 3/4 CROSSLAYS, 2-2 1/2 REAR LAYS, FRONT BUMPER LINE PLUS A DECK GUN. IT HAS AN ONBOARD DESIEL GENERATOR. THIS UNIT CARRIES EXTRICATION EQUIPMENT, FIRE SUPPRESSION EQUIPMENT, VENTILATION EQUIPMENT, DRAFTING EQUIPMENT, AS WELL AS MEDICAL RESPONSE EQUIPMENT.
ENGINE 214 (RETIRED)
Retired Engine 214 is a pierce telesquirt. This engine has a 500 gallon tank that is supplied by a 1250 gpm 2 stage pump. Engine 214 is also armed with a 55' elevated master stream. (Retired)
